ABOUT ME

Hello and welcome on my website. My name is Judith Billig and I’m a contemporary artist based in Christchurch, New Zealand.

I’ve been an artist in some shape or form all my life. My artistic focus centers nowadays primarily on creating vibrant abstract paintings and emotionally charged female portraits.

 

All of my paintings are heavily influenced by my love for vibrant colours and textures.

 

I always aim to strike an emotional chord with viewers of my art. In my expressionist portraits I bring faces to life, aim to capture deep emotions and the stories etched into every line and expression. While my paintings can be thought-provoking and even challenging to look at, they always also carry a message of hope and resilience.
